Projecting surfaces onto the DTM
A new tool has been added to MDTopX to project files that contain surfaces formed by a closed entity and a centroid that indicates the height of a given construction. This type of entities are usually typical of cadastre, where the buildings are delimited and a text is added as centroid based on the height of the eaves of these. However, these files usually do not have altimetric information, that is, the geometric entities have elevation zero. With this new tool, MDTopX allows to project these entities on the digital model of the area and raise them depending on the centroid text they contain. The result is a vector cartography file with the surfaces and their centroids, to which the altimetric information has been incorporated. The consequent utility lies in the possibility of cadastral update, realization of models of cities, true orthophotos, etc. The following video shows how it works: [embed]https://youtu.be/J33Mxf5fAAA[/embed]
