New DUPLICATE command

November 17, 2014 dup duplicate

Digi3D has always had a command to duplicate existing entities: the DUP command. This command duplicates an entity without retaining its code. The new entity always receives the active code or, from Digi3D.NET onward, the active codes. I have always thought that Digi3D should have a command that also duplicates the entity codes, and taking advantage of that I have been requested through the Digi21 support portal, I have decided to do the command DUPLICAR. The DUPLICAR command works the same as the DUP command: It asks us to select an entity, and once selected, it duplicates it respecting the codes of the entity. If we are connected to a database, the indexes of the records will not be respected, because a new record will be generated in the database with the same values as the original entity, and it will point to that record. In the following video you can see this new command in action: [youtube:http://youtu.be/bwuFE3xDz8Q]
