Don't lose your bearings
The other day an operator told us that when they create a photogrammetric project with the intention of using the automatic model change functionality, they rotate 180 degrees the images of odd passes, modify the rotation of Kappa those photos in the aerial triangulation file and then create the models of those passes in reverse, that is, instead of loading the model 1-2, they load the 2-1. This prevents the model direction from being changed if the automatic model switch switches to a model from another pass. The truth is that we had not thought about this inconvenience, so today we have added a new functionality to Digi3D.NET that performs this task automatically for us. Basically it calculates the difference in degrees between the north of the model we have loaded and the north of the model to be loaded. If the difference is greater than a value (which can be configured in Tools/Configuration/Photogrammetric Project/Umbral to invert model), the program will automatically rotate 180 degrees both images and also exchange the left and right eyes, so we will see the model as if it was flown upside down and so we will not lose the north. You can disable this new feature through the option Tools/Settings/Photogrammetric Project/Invert models to keep north. Here is a video in which we show you this new functionality:
