Improvements when creating a perspective camera stereo model
For years, the conical sensor of Digi3D.NET has been able to automatically locate camera files in case we do not explicitly provide a camera file in the Photogrammetric sensors tab of the New Project dialog box.
- If we fill in the left and right camera fields, the sensor loads the camera calibration from these files, generating an error message if something has gone wrong.
- If we do not fill in the camera files, the program tries to locate the camera calibration from the aerial triangulation file (if one has been provided) or from the metadata of the image itself (images from Vexcel cameras).
The problem is that the program was always requesting the camera files, so if we wanted them to be loaded from the aerial triangulation file or from the images themselves we had to leave the left and right camera fields empty. This was not intuitive, so we have modified this behavior. The Photogrammetric Sensors tab now does not request the left and right camera files, so it assumes that it needs to locate the calibrations from the aerial triangulation file (if one has been provided) or from the image itself; if it cannot locate the calibrations in any of these locations, it prompts the user to provide the camera file for each of the images.
