Delete geometries in shapefiles following the Spanish Cadastre's criteria
For many years we can work in Digi3D.NET directly on Shapefile files.
One of the features that Digi3D.NET has is that when you delete a geometry, it is not actually deleted, but it is marked as deleted, but it is still there. This allows us to undo operations or even recover geometries deleted days ago.
To actually remove the deleted geometries we use the COMPRESS command which rewrites the file but this time without the geometries marked as deleted.
Shapefile .SHP files have no way to mark geometries as deleted, but Digi3D.NET has always used a trick, and that is that .DBF files can mark a record as deleted, therefore, when you delete a geometry, it is marked as deleted in its corresponding record in the .DBF file.
The problem is that in Spanish Cadastre geometries cannot be deleted, but a field is used that stores the date on which it has been marked as deleted.
Consequently, we have made a modification in the program that allows us to indicate the type of criterion to follow when deleting a geometry.
