Digitizing entities in stream mode

September 29, 2011 2011 stream_mode new_feature

Digi3D 2011 includes a new feature that lets you specify that geometries recorded with a particular code are always recorded in stream mode. If you specify that entities with a code are always recorded in stream mode, you no longer need to hold down the Data button/foot pedal while recording entities with that code. This functionality makes working with 3D mice much easier. To enable it, we just have to select the option Stream mode of the code in question in the program Code table editor. From that point on, as long as the movement comes from a photogrammetric window, you can release the Data button/foot pedal after pressing it: the application will record all your movements until you press another button or finish the polyline. Below is a video that demonstrates this new functionality.
