Digitize on an orthophoto + DSM in stereoscopic 3D using the Stereo Orthophoto sensor
The option of digitizing cartography 3D from an orthophoto and a DEM obtained by Lidar is increasingly used.
The digitizing is 3D, but the operator does not see what he is doing in 3D, because what he visualizes is an orthophoto.
Digi3D.NET solves this problem by its sensor Stereoscopic Orthophoto that creates a virtual stereoscopic model on the fly allowing the operator to digitize in stereoscopic 3D objects that would be very difficult to digitize viewing an orthophoto.
This is a synthetic model and the operator can indicate the vertical exaggeration factor he wants to increase or decrease the stereoscopic sensation. The orthophoto can have been obtained by any sensor: it does not matter if it is an orthophoto of a satellite image or a conical image, etc. And the DSM can be in any format: .LAS, .TIF, etc...
This solution adds "stereoscopic freedom" when digitizing on an orthophoto imitating a stereoscopic model, but obviously you will always have more accuracy if you have a real stereoscopic model of the area.
