Geometry attribute dictionaries in Digi3D.NET
We just added to Digi3D.NET an attribute dictionary for geometries, in which we can store as many key-value pairs as we want.
This dictionary has no meaning for the program, but for us as users since we can add alphanumeric information to each geometry.
Each geometry has its own dictionary of attributes, so we could have with the Persona code a geometry without attributes, another with the same code, but with a dictionary in which only the name of a person is stored and a third geometry that has the same code, but in its dictionary of attributes both the name, age and height. It is the user who dynamically adds the attributes you want to assign to the geometry.
We have added a new pane called Active Attributes that allows us to dynamically add/remove attributes.
In addition, we have added the command DELETE_ACTIVE_ATTRIBUTES to clear the pane of active attributes.
We have also added the command ADD_ACTIVE_ATTRIBUTE that will allow us to add active attributes from the command line.
You can list the attributes of an existing geometry in the results pane by using the command LIST_ATTRIBUTES.
If you want to set as active attributes those that an existing geometry has, you can run the command CLONE_ATTRIBUTES.
You can edit the attributes of an existing geometry using the command EDIT_ATTRIBUTES.
If you want to assign the Active Attributes pane attributes to an existing geometry, you can do this with the command CHNG_ATTRIBUTES.
You can see this new feature in action in the video below.
