Setting up three mice on Digi3D 2011
In this post I will show you how to configure three mice in Digi3D, you will see that it can help you increase productivity with Digi3D. If you do not have handwheels or a topomouse and want to use the photogrammetric window you can use the computer mouse. To capture the mouse in the photogrammetric window you have two options: either pressing the space bar or clicking with the mouse in the photogrammetric window. If you want to release the mouse (to use it in the drawing window, or to enter menus, select a toolbar or change applications,...) you will have to press the space bar on the keyboard to release it. If you are going to work with a stereoscopic model, my recommendation is that you buy a trackball that you will use for the movement of the Z coordinate. The best trakball to date is the Logitech Marble® mouse that you can acquire for about 30€ in any department store or computer store. But if you have a third mouse, you can increase productivity, as you can check the checkbox titled "This mouse is used solely for the photogrammetric window" on the two mice you are going to use for the photogrammetric window and not check that box for the third mouse. In this way, when you move any of the two mice you have indicated will be used exclusively in the photogrammetric window, it will capture them automatically, and when you move the other mouse (the one you have not indicated that will be used exclusively) you can use it to enter menus or change programs.
