Voice commands
Would you like to use your voice to command Digi3D.NET to perform any task like changing code, closing the entity you are drawing, executing a macro statement, etc.? Well, you can now thanks to the new voice recognition functionality that we have added to Digi3D.NET. On the one hand we have added the tab Speech recognition to the program Code table editor of Digi3D.NET. In this tab you can add voice commands and a command to execute. To add more than one voice command to a command, you can separate the different voice commands with semicolon, or you can add as many entries as you want to execute the same command. In the screenshot that heads this blog post you can see that we have indicated that the command COD=020123 is executed when the user says through the computer microphone:
- Fine.
- fine curve.
- intermedia.
- contour line intermedia.
- intermediate curve.
In Digi3D.NET we have added the boolean variable SPEECH_RECOGNITION (accessible also from the menu option Immediate/Speech recognition or through the toolbar Speech recognition) that when it is active recognizes everything we say by the computer microphone. You can configure the level of confidence with which the words are accepted in the menu Tools/Settings/Speech Recognition/Confidence. The higher the value indicated there, the more accurately we will force the program to recognize our voice. The default value is 0.6. You can see this new functionality in the following video:
